Before beginning this treatment, you must inform your doctor if you are hypersensitive to any other drugs, or if you have kidney or liver disease. In such cases, your doctor may prescribe you an adjustment of doses or special tests for safe administration of generic Zanaflex.
One of the side effects of generic Zanaflex (Tizanidine) is the impairment of your thinking or reactions. So, high degree of alertness needs to be shown while driving or performing any hazardous activities. Steer clear of drinking alcohol as far as possible. It can worsen some of the side effects of Tizanidine.
Dosage & Administration
Generic Zanaflex tablets are supplied in 2 mg or 4 mg
of Tizanidine that are orally administered two to three times a day. Adults and
children more than 12 years of age will begin to experience benefits within one
hour of consumption. The medication is generally continued for a short period
of no longer than 3 weeks. If patients don't see any improvement in their
condition after 2-3 weeks, they should contact their doctor.
